for them. These tips are based on more than

staying organized and maintaining consistency is crucial. Most of the tips attempt to convey the importance
of simplifying the collection process for the person in the field. Labeling bags in the field may seem easy
enough but in reality not only are errors far more likely but even increasing the time it takes to collect each
sample by a small amount can add significantly to the time spent in the field. If you are collecting 100
samples and writing on each bag and each sample takes an additional three minutes this increases
collection time by 5 hours. Systematically labeling 100 bags, using the method in this section, takes 25
minutes.
